Department of Civics and Ethical studies was officially launched at Ambo University in 2011 G.C under college of Social Science and Humanities.The launching of the department was initiated by need assessment carried out by university management.
Our department dedicated to fostering knowledgeable, responsible, and ethical citizens prepared to engage effectively in their communities and the world.In 2022our department expanded its program by launching a postgraduate program in Peace and Conflict Studies.Citizenship, Governance, Justice, and Ethics and Human Rights are research thematic areas of our department.
