About Political Science and International Relations Department
The College of Social Science and Humanities proposed the adoption and opening of the new curriculum of Political Science and International Relations in 2014/15 academic calendar (2007 E.C.). Accordingly, the department was opened and functional since then. The aim of the department is to train professionals in the field of Political Science and International Relations with the skill and technique to comprehend and examine global, regional, continental and local political events from a variety of perspectives and then be able to contribute to the country’s socioeconomic and political developments. The department has demonstrated significant academic achievements in the last four years. For instance it has graduated its first batch of about 66 students in 2017. At the present, a total of 53 students, from 2nd to 4th years, are enrolled in the regular program of the department.
