Social Sciences and humanities has attracted scholars in the area from multidimensional perspective to give insights on Social, Cultural, Political, and environmental issues in contemporary world. Our college, College of Social Sciences and Humanities endeavors to
achieve its mission and visions by spanning its different academic disciplines (programs). Moreover, our college is very resourceful in terms of human powers engaged in academics and researches in the area of languages (English Language and Literature, Afan Oromo and
Literature, and Linguistics); sociology and social works; Political Sciences and International Relations; Journalism, media and Communication. Our college staffs have academic rank ranging from Associate Professors to Lecturers who have excellent academic and research experiences.

Besides, academic staffs have a mandate to carry out Research activities and community services, and in this regard, our college has shown remarkable outputs as well. Above all, the college works exhaustively to meet the interest and demand of its students’ satisfaction. The college is also open to work with other sister colleges/institutes/ schools of our university and other Public/Private Universities, NGOs and other Relevant Government Institutions.
