College of Business and Economics
- College of Business and Economics is established in 1999 E.C with three departments i.e. Accounting and Finance, Development Management and Marketing Management. It commences operation with only 180 students and few academic staffs. Within this journey the college has been contributing its share in achieving university objective in particular and country’s development goals in general, by producing qualified and competent graduates.
- Currently the college is running different programs under 6 departments: Management, Economics, Marketing Management, Accounting and Finance, Cooperative and PADM with 95 academic and 26 administrative staff. College of Business and Economics now enrolled above 2650 students in regular, CEP, winter and summer programs both in seven undergraduate and ten postgraduate programs. To expand its service at large and reach the communities, the college has opened satellite centers at Holeta and in General TadesseBiru Primary School in Addis Ababa, and offered undergraduate and postgraduate program.

- በ2014 ዓ.ም የትምህርት ዘመን የ12ኛ ክፍል ማጠቃለያ ሀገር አቀፍ ፈተና ወስደዉ፣ በአቅም ማሻሻያ (Remedial Program) ፕሮግራም 4975 ተማሪዎች በአምቦ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በትምህርት ሚኒስቴር ተመድበዋል፡፡ ከተመደቡት 4975 ተማሪዎች መካከል 2835 የተፈጥሮ ሳይንስ ሲሆኑ 2140 የማህበራዊ ሳይንስ ተማሪዎች ናቸዉ። ለተመደቡ ተማሪዎች ዩኒቨርሲቲዉ ከመጋቢት 07-08/2015 ዓ.ም እንዲገቡ ባደረገላቸዉ ጥሪ መሰረት በዛሬው ዕለት ማለትም በ07/07/2015 ዩኒቨርሲቲዉ እነዚህን ተማሪዎች መቀበል የጀመረ ሲሆን፤ ቅበላው በነገው ዕለትም ይቀጥላል፡፡
