About Forestry Department at Guder Mamo Mezemir Campus
Department of Forestry is to provide relevant and problem-solving education at BSc level as well as short-term training, conducting research and extension for the advancement of science and technology in forestry and forestry related resources. The mission of Forestry Program is to produce and to transmit knowledge about the function and dynamics of forests and related renewable resources to all stakeholders/customers; to encourage continual learning about forest and related renewable resources and their role in making people’s lives better; and to produce competent graduates who will tackle the most pressing environmental challenges facing our country today. The BSc degree program in forestry is designed to be completed in a period of four years. Upon successful completion of the training, the degree awarded to the graduate shall be named as “Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry”
