SCHOOL OF GRADUATE STUDIES

Ambo University is one of the foremost higher learning institutions with significant contributions in the country’s overall development by building the capacity of development agents through short, medium and long term trainings in various fields since its establishment in 1939. It is launched its first Regular Post Graduate Program in October, 2006 in Crop-Protection and Cooperative Management. Currently, the School of Postgraduate Studies (SGS) is offering a regular running program in five colleges, three institutes and one school. Under these we have about 52 M.Sc./MA/MPH and 4 PhD Programs. In addition, the SGS has a CEP program in three colleges and one institutes with a total of 14 M.Sc./M.A programs.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

The minimum admission requirement for the M.Sc./MA/MPH degree program is normally designed for those who have followed relevant and appropriate undergraduate studies at recognized Ethiopian Universities or equivalent institutions. It is emphasized that a strong quantitative background is essential for success in this program. To get admission to the program, applicants should fulfill the admission requirements based on the guideline set by CGS as specified in Legislation of Ambo University. The application form shall be uploaded and the applicant could possibly download and fill before coming to respective department.
